Kerbing
Wotton Tarpaving Ltd knows that one of the keys to longevity of your new surface treatment is ensuring careful thought goes into the fine details of edgings etc. All exposed edges of the surfacing should be protected by some form of edging, choosing a treated wooden edging or a concrete edging from a variety of shapes and colours.
The edging will set the rest of the driveway off if you choose a contrasting colour for example. Excavation
Wotton Tarpaving Ltd is fully qualified to carry out heavy groundworks in Bath, Bristol and across Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, installing proper signage and taking any necessary health and safety precautions to avoid risks to people and property. Whether you need trenches, foundations levelling or terracing for instance, call us to take on the heavy work in a professional manner, always leaving your premises clean and tidy and fully reinstated at the end of a job.
The excavated material is taken away (to protect the environment) and is nearly always recycled although in some instances we have to use a landfill tip but these are always registered with the Department of the Environment and we do possess a Waste Carrier’s Licence to ensure safe disposal. We pay all tipping fees so there are no extra charges.

Drainage
The purpose of good drainage is to allow water to soakaway naturally away from your home. We can correct and fix most drainage systems. The drainage system that is installed around your home is designed in such away that it carries the water downhill.
Any installed soakaway should be installed at least 5 metres from your property or at least 2.5 metres from any boundary fence wall.

Hardcore
When carrying out groundworks in Bath, Gloucestershire or Wiltshire, Wotton Tarpaving Ltd has an experienced team who understand the impact that sourcing hard landscaping materials can have on the environment. The hardcore sub-base is usually crushed stone but increasingly we are using more environmentally recycled materials such as tarmac planings and crushed concrete all graded to specific sizes and content.
Smooth
The material is levelled and well compacted to ‘HAUC’ specifications using the latest operator-friendly vibrating rollers.
Drainage
All of our driveways comply with the new local planning conditions introduced in 2008, with regard to surface water drainage.
Blending
New manhole covers and gully gratings can sometimes be disguised and blended in with the surrounding surfaces if required.
